LinkSCEEM-2 partners include three High Performance Computing (HPC) centers from the Eastern Mediterranean region who have committed a significant portion of the computational, data storage and visualization resources to the project. The three HPC centers are:
- Computation based Science and Technology Research Center
- National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences
- Bibliotheca Alexandrina
The project foresees the engagement of additional resource provider organizations from the region in order to facilitate the emergence of HPC ecosystem in the region.
A core activity of the project is the integration of the resources provided by these three centers and the implementation of a common platform for the offering of services to the Eastern Mediterranean computational science user community. Of prime importance is the set up of a project Resource Allocation Committee (WP3) administering user requests for access to partner resources, a joint User Support (WP6) mechanism and a scientific workflow application (WP8) enabling transparent user access to available resources.
